Which is worse - vomity hair or a pony tail day in day out?

My 5-week-old son has decreed I must have one or the other.

Need you ask?! PONY TAIL!

MrsBadger · 05/06/2008 12:02

ooh tough one

I went for the worst of both worlds for a long time (loose hair vomited in then tied up)

BroccoliSpears · 05/06/2008 12:08

Yes! That's my current choice Mrs B. I look and smell fantastic.

Ooooh deffo tie it up, it has other advantages, no one can pull it out, including the roots, if it is tied up, and when you haven't had chance to wash it for 2 weeks days, and it starts getting itchy, it won't itch as much tied up

SheherazadetheGoat · 05/06/2008 12:12

cut it off

AMumInScotland · 05/06/2008 12:41

Get used to a pony tail now, before he starts grabbing at it unexpectedly. Also give up on dangly earrings, necklaces, scarves.... some very painful memories there

bigspender30 · 05/06/2008 13:35

ponytail for def. then you still have lovely long locks for those rare nights out

Hova · 05/06/2008 13:38

do NOT cut it off.

argh. nothing worse than a 'sensible' hair cut.

think of the vom as a fantastically expensive hair mask from harrods - made from regurgitated lactic acid-enzyme-complexes. dahling.

Another vote for a ponytail here. Definitely don't cut it off - short hair needs washing more often, long hair can just be tied back

DS (8wks) holds onto my hair while feeding if it's loose so I've had ponytail/bun for most of the last two months. Hey ho...

SheherazadetheGoat · 05/06/2008 17:52

there is something worse than 'sensible' hair - hair in a ponytail.

anyway once you have kids you are too haggard to carry off long hair.

I disagree- I think ponytails are fine-or hair pinned up. Short sensible hair-old ladyish and helmet head spring to mind!

AMumInScotland · 05/06/2008 20:35

Oy! No negative comments about pony-tails missy!

BroccoliSpears · 06/06/2008 13:56

Today I have gone for a sort of deliberately scruffy bun sort of thing. It would probably be more effective if I was working with tumbling pre-raphelite locks, but I'm afraid I'm stuck with thin, fine, straight, (crispy, crunchy, whiffy) hair.

I wipe food/other stuff out of mine and my kids hair with babywipes
