What can I wear with these boots? Bad colour choice?

Hi all,
I've spent ages looking for winter boots. I really liked these because I wanted something smart enough for work, that I could wear on walks. A small heel, not too chunky but not pointed toe or really delicate.

I really like the colour but I was wearing a black skirt and tights and tried them on and they just didn't seem to match very well.
Are they a bad colour choice? Initially I thought they'd go with anything. Maybe I should get the black but it doesn't look as nice?

I ťhink black and brown can be worn together with no issue. Boots are a bit like jeans in that they're such a basic that colour matching or contrasting is irrelevant.

I think brown goes really well with navy or demin. I like a demin skirt or dress with brown opaque tights and brown boots

Your boots are much nicer than black boots, you can wear them with skirts dresses, trousers, anything really as they are neutral. I'd like some exactly the same.

I like them and think they’d be fine with black but I’d tie it in either a top or a scarf with a bit of brown. Look good with navy and denim too.

Black and brown work together. Grey is the only colour that doesn’t work with brown boots.
