Large handbag - alternative??

I know the word ‘frumpy’ is frowned upon here but that’s how I feel nowadays when I use a large leather crossbody handbag. But what’s the alternative? Something that can hold quite a bit, but stylish, suitable for travelling about for a day, hands free…

I’m on a bag mission at the moment. I like a bigger bag but not a cross body as my boobs are big. I don’t really understand whether a cross body bag is supposed to go so I am looking at shoulder bags.

I’ve ordered and returned a Le pilage. I liked the lightweightness and the shape but not the white inside.

I have since ordered a radley eden row but it’s not here yet.

Reading with interest but still using a cross body bag and can’t see a good alternative. Shoulder bags and totes wrecked my back and shoulders so I won’t be going near them again, bum bags are too small, and I’ve not used a back pack since I caught someone trying to open it. I’m quite taken with some of the vintage frame handbags but I like to have both hands free.

Well, if crossbody bags are frumpy I’m destined for Frumpsville, as I can’t keep a shoulder bag on for love nor money.

I love my messenger bag. Make sure for pick one for men. They look so much nicer than the version for women.

Does it have to be a crossbody bag? The Longchamp Pilage in large will hold everything, you can buy cheap inserts on Amazon to make the inside more traditionally handbaggy. Mine will last me forever, is waterproof and doubles up as a weekend bag when needed.

It’s from Fossil - the Parker mini in brown. I’m in love! It fits so much despite being compact. And I love the way it looks - it’s a backpack, but it’s chic! You can also change the strap and use it as a shoulder bag.
