Pretty nails and make up thread

Thought it'd be nice to have a thread to share when we're proud of our nails and make up.

These are my nails from my graduation yesterday. My first time using nail wraps so they're not perfect, but I'm happy with them.

@JaceLancs very seasonal! Love the ombre glitter look. I meant to get some autumnal wraps but forgot. I did get 2 christmas ones though 🤦‍♀️

yes free from customs charges from the .au website, and free standard delivery which is around 3 weeks but can be a little quicker. You can pay for slightly quicker, but I think it's still around 2 weeks

My latest from Lily and Fox, i layered a transparent wrap with the silver design over a plain colour wrap

@Hmmmmwineandchocs ooo i never thought to layer the wraps 🤔 i have a clear one with white butterflies but it looks odd as you can see my nails underneath, thanks for the idea xx

I kept the pink on the backing paper to do it as found it easier to line them up while flat, though as they are clear if you go off a bit it’s not noticeable with top coat.
Just takes a little longer obviously to allow lining them up. I’d do it again, pleased with the finish result

I was eyeing up some pretty transparent ones the other day and wondering what they'd look like, but then I saw this picture in the reviews and it is stunning.
Do you all just use nail varnish remover to take them off? I've never had nail varnish last this long before and I'm getting impatient to try some of the others!

yes i just use normal nail polish remover or pure acetone on the glitter ones as they take a bit more effort to remove.

Trying to decide which set to put on next. I'm tempted by the glitter, but the flowery ones are slightly autumnal in the colouring, and the blue china ones I just like the look of!
I took the last set off 3 days ago and have given my nails some tlc and am ready to go again

Purple sparkly acrylics for me.

Interesting how hard it is to make hands look nice on the photo.
Why do people always put their hands in front of a car steering wheel?

What an odd comment. They have just got in their car after getting their nails done. I can't even drive yet figured it out.

@minishiteboard I agree it's hard to make hands look good in a photo, or my hands anyway. Plus, how to get the thumb in as well as the fingers when the designs are different on each one, then I end up doing 'the claw' which looks a bit crap!

Not commenting on anyone elses photos btw, I just don't particularly like my hands so think all photos of them are awful. It's why I'm trying to be a bit more careful with them nowadays

Oh no @Avie29, but I think you're right to give them a break in between. I suppose it's about striking a balance

@Newgrowth yes i think 24hrs is all i get before they start breaking again, im gonna put some new ones on this evening, my left hand is always fine but now i have long nails on left, short on right, so gonna have to cut my left nails down to match 😩 xx
