Age 31 and looking for an outfit for a night in London we are off to the theatre and then to a swanky club/ private members club. I’m a mum and haven’t dressed up like this in years want t ok look and feel my best. I would like something warm as I feel the cold easily. either a long sleeve dress or skirt with top but have no idea what to wear. I’m a size 12 with large bum and smaller boobs. So really struggling with what to wear. I’m ideally a size 8 to 10 but currently on a post baby diet and so nothing fits me so I’m not feeling very confident in the way I look. I have some heeled boots and heels I could wear. Trainers aren’t permitted past 6pm in the venue men are required to wear a blazer or jacket.

In that situation I would wear a leather/faux leather midi skirt and fitted top - a fine turtle neck maybe, with your velvet jacket if you love it. Some great jewellery and your heeled boots or heels depending upon what looks better.
Or there are some lovely velvet trousers around that you could wear with a blouse and heels? Enjoy your night!

I’d want to wear my velvet jacket, if it were me. With a very minimal vest top and a leather mini skirt. Would that work for you, @worriesaway?

I think one of those long satin skirts with a thin knitted top would look nice, possibly with the blazer too?

I’ve ordered this skit and will wear a black top tights and boots which are similar to the photo
