Help me find a new watch? £250 budget

I could go a bit over. I know for some of you that will be a tiny amount but my watches are normally about £30 so this is an expensive watch for me!

I want something discreet, classic and with numbers. Prefer silver. No sparkle or huge branding. I quite like trench watches with retro numbering.

Oh I like that.

The only official UK stockist is waaaay out of budget though.

Will have a google.

I quite like this Mondaine. I wish it had numbers though. 🤣

Are the straps easy to replace? My current watch apparently isn't a standard size and needs the proprietary straps which are expensive and hard to find. The strap is falling apart and the face is all scratched up now anyway.

I had never looked before, but there is a tiny lever on the strap bars which releases the strap.

if they are as good as they were 10/20 years ago Seiko have the best after sales service of all brands. Parts are cheap and easy to get hold of (for jewellers), all they need is case number. If they don’t have specific part they recommend alternative parts to fix it. Honestly the best brand to work with from a repair point of view.
