Has anyone used Routine shampoo for thinning hair

My hair has thinned horribly on top and at the front since menopause and I keep seeing ads for this range. Just wondered if anyone has tried it ? (Or has any other miracle treatments !)
I'm starting to wonder if I need to investigate toppers.

Not this range, but I saw recs for Minoxidil & nizarol shampoo (which I do use) plus eating pumpkin seeds. There are plenty of supplements out there suggested which help with this. Good luck

Thank you. It's really affecting my self confidence now so willing to try lots of things.

Mine has been shedding, in handfuls, since the summer. It's awful, I feel like I want to hide at home. Had loads of tests, it's either due to menopause or Telogen Effluvium. Be wearing a scarf or wig by Christmas at this rate. Everyone tells me that stress makes it worse, but I am stressed about my bloody hair! It seems so common though, how 65% of menopausal aged women and above hide it is beyond me.

Sorry you are struggling with it too @crossstitchingnana

For me what helped was not what I put in my hair, but what I ate

i started eating more healthily, taking Floradix as my iron was a bit low, vitamin D, Oestrogel (hrt which I got through my GP), cod liver oil, and Magnesium Glycinate

after a year my skin and especially hair are so much better. My hair dresser commented on it last week, how I had reversed the thinning.

but it was a lot to do with what I ate

shampoo always been the same, Aussie mega, I do two shampoos and proper massage it in. That is all

good luck

Yes and it definitely helped, but awful to use as there is barely any lather.

I use Faith in Nature Rosemary shampoo, it seems to have stopped my hair loss since menopause

LondonGirrrrl · 12/10/2025 08:33

Iron levels need to be 70 minimum

Thank you for all the tips.

Didn't like it as no lather and the conditioner made my roots feel heavy.

12 weeks ago I had my hair cut etc hairdresser said i was loosing a lot of hair. I'd forgotten i had this shampoo and conditioner. This week she said my hair loss was minimal I had been using routine wellness and rehab 1.0 oils. She also said my hair felt lovely. She even then ordered the oils! There's definitely less hair in my brush and in the shower. So it worked for me. Hope you find a solution. X

Minoxidil men’s version. It’s the only thing that will truly help. I have tried all the lotions and potions, oils and serums. I’m nearly two months in and have been quite careless with it - ie putting it on my eyebrows and when applying to temples just rubbing it around so now I have hair growing where I have marked in the picture (that’s not me by the way)

It is life long, it’s like brushing your teeth. You have to take DHT blockers as well (I bought gummies that have different types of blockers)l which prevents shedding. I’ve only been using those two products and have seen a huge improvement. I don’t have an obvious widows peak anymore!

FYI it is toxic to pets so always wear a bonnet straight after application. My cat likes to nibble my hair sometimes 😂

Also check your iron and vit D levels.
