Love cashmere and marks and spe cers is good proce but however carefully I wash my cardigan they always shrink. I di cd water machine no spin and still shrink so can't wear them anymore. Is it better to get them dry cleaned? I cannot keep paying £89 to have them shrink as its costing me a fortune

Nobody has answered my question. How do I get a jam and cream stain out of cashmere. I will hand wash it

I wash my Uniqlo, M&S cashmere on a wool wash, with Woolite or Dri-Pak liquid soap. I then dry on a rack. No shrinkage to date.

Fairy liquid @PerkyOchrePeer. Drop a couple of drops on the dry cashmere & rub in gently for a few seconds. Then start the tap on a gentle stream of cold water gradually warming the water up. You don't want to go too hot but it will need to be hot enough to remove the oily stain. You may need to repeat this until the stain is completely removed. Then wash on a general wool wash at 20/30° with a delicate detergent .

I do not want to machine wash it even at 39 because I've done this before even with no spin and the garment has shrunk. I am not prepared to have this one shrink so I will wash it by hand

If you are going to machine wash make sure its low spin speed and low temperature i.e. 20

I am not rude. Anyway I rubbed the stain with a but of fairy liquid abd theb hand washed the cardigan in cold water using cashmere liquid and gently squeezed the water out abd hung it over an airer over the bath to drip dry. Im interested to see what it's like once it's dry.
