Ever had an allergic reaction to nail polish?

I'm having an allergic reaction to something - my eyelids and lips are swollen, and I have a rash long my collarbone and slightly up my neck at the sides. The itching around my eyes yesterday nearly drove me insane despite being maxed out on antihistamines. No reaction at all on hands or the rest of my body

I wondered if it could be a particular brand of nail polish I put on on a few days ago, and that is what's driving my eyes crazy every time I touch them. Obvs have removed all nail polish now. I used a cotton pad to gently put some moisturiser around my eyes earlier, so wasn't touching them with my hands, and they felt immediately less itchy

Time will tell I guess. Anyone had similar?

Not nail polish but I did have a similar reaction to a new face serum earlier in the year.my eyes were particularly bad despite not putting it on my eyelids. Any skin care changes?

'Any skin care changes?'

No, nothing 😏

Back up theory is that the culprit is washing powder, and that having my face against the pillow case for 8 hours every night is causing the reaction. Been using the same washing powder for years, but I know that allergies can come out of nowhere sometimes. It's v annoying!

I get eyelid eczema from nail varnish. I don’t wear it on my fingers anymore and it hasn’t returned.

Nail polish chemicals trigger my dd’s eczema so it could be!

Ah bugger 😁 will leave my nails bare for the next week or so and see how I go. It may just be that one brand that I'm reacting to.
