Has anyone used Style me Happy?

I saw mention on here I think and do follow her on IG.

I have had my ‘colours done’ but no longer seem to suit the recommendations as my contrast levels have dropped. I am also really struggling with clothes atm and nothing feels right.

I am really not good at what suits me and default back to M&S all the time.

i have a small amount to throw at this but not masses. I like the look of the shopping recommendations bit on
Style me happy more so than John Lewis say as the options seem greater.

my dd suggested it’s a bit of a waste of money as I could get the same kind of suggestions from ChatGPT.

so any real work experience or recommendations for similar online stylists.

Yes! It's some of the best money I've ever spent! Very good value. I look so much better with a fraction of my old wardrobe and it's kick started a lot of positive changes like going on to lose 4 stone!

Penguinsmum · 04/10/2025 14:57

Look at my before and after on her IG...I'm the one with the lilac hair!

GettingFestiveNow · 04/10/2025 14:59

ChatGPT gets everything else wrong so not sure why it would be good at this. I used SMH a couple of years ago and found it really helpful. I wear more colour now because I'm more confident in what suits me (and stopped wearing the things that made me look like death). I've had a few compliments so I don't think it's all in my head. Far fewer expensive mistakes too.

myladyjane · 04/10/2025 17:37

Ah thanks both. Sounds like it’s worth it - the cost seems equivalent to a top and a pair of jeans so seems worth the outlay.

off to take some photos

Yes, I thought it was worth it too

Figroll16 · 06/10/2025 18:42

I had my colours done by her -I found it really useful , had a 19 page PDF with suggestions on colours (and the nuances) hair and makeup. Whilst I won’t stick to it religiously, I found it useful to steer me towards colours that make me look “well” as I’m naturally very pale.

GandTtwice · 06/10/2025 18:48

I've had mine done. My problem is now finding clothes in the right shades, it's difficult to colour match online and so many shops just don't have the stock in store.
I have started to experiment more with colours and wear a more variety of clothes when before I would stick safe jeans and a top.
The Facebook group is really helpful too

myladyjane · 27/10/2025 14:18

So I did this and got my report back. Must say I’m really disappointed. Less so on the colour analysis but on the style analysis it is just pointless. Just says I’m a pear. Recommended stuff that 100% will
look shite (high neck tops - absolutely not), midi length stuff that will drown me as I’m short. Absolutely nothing tailored to me personally in any way.

so maybe try it for colour analysis but not anything else is my feedback

oh and ChatGPT came out with the same colour suggestion anyway.

If you're not happy with the results or think they might be wrong Emily always says on the Facebook page that she's happy to discuss it with you if you email her. You might want to try that and see if she can offer more explanation of the results and recommendations

myladyjane · 27/10/2025 18:27

Thanks @GandTtwice

i am fine with the colour analysis part (have had time to read it through) and whilst it’s pretty generic it’s useful especially for the specific make up and hair recommendations.

it’s the style bit I feel let down by so would be good if you think it’s me being unreasonable actually.

It just gives generic advice for a pear. It doesn’t reflect on what that means for me as a short, short waisted busty pear with a mum tum. That’s what I was hoping to get from this - something a bit more bespoke to me.

i may email them back and point out some of the bits I have queries on. High necked jumpers for a short waisted f/g cup really surprised me (and I know looks awful).

Just as a mini update I have emailed Emily and she got straight back to me so can’t fault the customer service even if I am still struggling to translate the advice

I've had mine done. The colours do make sense I think but I find it hard to put it into practice. I feel like I have more boxes to "tick" when I'm trying to buy something and just get very overwhelmed! I'm tempted to do a mini shop where you get sent a list of items for your colour and shape but I'm wary to as like you I wonder if it won't be personally tailored enough.

For me mainly because I'm a size 20 with massive boobs and a mum tum. Also because I have sensory issues that rule out a lot of fabrics.
