What can I pair this dress with to keep warm?

I am attending a wedding in the next few weeks and have bought this dress www.marksandspencer.com/crew-neck-column-midi-dress/p/clp23042088?intid=mobile_app_pdp_share However, I have no idea what to wear over it to keep warm! I always feel cold so it will probably be on for about 70% of the day.

I’ve browsed various jackets/cardigans but nothing has jumped out at me yet.

Any ideas or inspiration would be greatly appreciated!

TBH I'd probably wear something else if I had to put something over it. The sleeves make that too tricky.

Exactly as @PrimalLass says. Elaborate sleeves and a V back - it’s not a dress that’s meant to be covered. If it were just a matter of throwing on a coat to get between two venues it wouldn’t really matter what you wore over it - but if the cover-up will be your actual outfit for 70% of the day I’d wear a different dress.

I always think if someone has to resort to a pashmina or wrap, then they've bought the wrong dress.

The shirt cloak arrived last night and looks great with the dress. The velvet jacket is arriving today so hopefully I’ll have two to choose from!

The cloak is lovely and warm so I should be fine in/outside the church which was my main concern!

Thanks again everyone for your suggestions.

I’m so happy the cloak works - it did in my head but sometimes what you envisage looks odd in real life. Can you post a pic?

That is a beautiful dress.
am tempted to order it myself for our big family Boxing Day meal out.

I would wear it with a shawl of some sort like a creamy taupe colour maybe.
