What style of jean do I need?

I'm really struggling to find a style of jean which flatters my shape. I've attached a picture to show what I mean but basically I go in and out in a few places which makes jeans look terrible around the crotch. I've tried a few baggier styles but they seem to be baggier in the legs and not across that area. I'm 5'9, size 14 with an hourglass figure so much prefer high waisted.

I have a similar shape post-child (thanks DS). I don’t buy jeans with stretch in and size up. Anything with stretch in tends to cling. I’m currently wearing a slightly cropped wide legged pair of jeans from ASDA that sit perfectly and hide the various in and out bits.

edited to add: I also think barrel leg jeans work really well. The best I’ve found are from Tu.

Yes, it's definitely post DC here too!

Lack of stretch is a good thought. I bought a pair of Mom jeans the other day I thought would be good but they were too clingy, and thinking back I'm sure they had stretch too.

I’m a similar shape and have just bought some Levis - 726 and a pair of ribcage from vinted as I couldn’t afford the £100 price tag in store 😜 they sit nice and high waisted. They just feel better than other high street ones, they have a little stretch but feel well structured. I’ve had jeans from river island, Marks & Spencer, New Look etc but have to say I think I’ll stick to Levi now.

I would go into somewhere like m&s and try on one from each style as they have about 8! Might be worth trying on some different sizing too as in the photo they look a little tight.

I would do this usually, but our M&S store don't seem to have fully restocked after the hack so they've never got all the styles or my sizes in stock. I've been ordering jeans in from places but I'm getting of having to return everything.
