Sea folly swimming costume care label

I’ve just bought a sea folly swimming costume and the care label says avoid sun cream, avoid rough surfaces like swimming pools and avoid swimming in highly chemical treated water. I’m a bit flabbergasted as surely that’s all the things you want a swimsuit to cope with! It wasn’t cheap either but had quick delivery but I’m wondering now whether it’s going to last? Any experience with this brand? Thanks!

Yes, but I have only used them in the sea. I don’t remember any issues with sun cream.

@330ml ha, thanks for your reply! Ridiculous care label for a swimsuit to be fair. I I like the design of it, but for the cost I would like to be able to swim in it 😂.

I had the most beautiful and flattering swimsuit that's ever existed from seafolly. Whilst the material felt really quality and sturdy it didn't last nearly as long as I thought it ought to for the cost! About 4 years of infrequent use before the elastic degraded.
