Red dress for a cruise

Hi, we've booked a cruise over New Year and the theme for the night is red and gold. I would like a red dress and will wear gold shoes and accessories. Where should I start? Budget up to £150, I'm 5 foot 6, 51 years old, size 14 with a tummy and long dark hair. Not sure if to go for a bright red or a darker red. Any ideas welcome.

What sort of style do you like, do you want to cover your arms, I'd go for a darker midi or maxi.

Where is the cruise, are you likely to go out on the deck and need a cover up too.

Thanks, some great ideas. I forgot about Phase Eight. I was considering Vinted but I seem to buy things that either don't fit or are quite right and end up stuck with them ( I never get round to re-delling things). That Roman dresd actually looks quite nice too.
