It’s a jeans one - again

I have no idea what kind of jeans to go for now the weather has changed and i can’t get away with my much loved denim shorts anymore.

I was still wearing my skinny’s this time last year but will only be slinging them on with long boots now.

I hate boot cut and wide leg. Look ridiculous in mom and barrel style.

I'm 5’6, just smaller than a 14 but a 12 is usually too tight. I’m hour glass shape with a fairly small waist and slim legs but i have x 2 babies c section overhang and wide hips.

I would in the main be wearing them day to day, taking kids to clubs, shopping, out for coffee or an informal lunch etc but not for work or going out out.

Maybe jeans just might not be for me anymore. In which case what do I wear?

Thoughts and ideas greatly appreciated.

Levi 724s, say they're high rise but I hate high rise, they're more like mid-rise. Classic, straight cut in every possible colour of blue and black. I'm a UK12 pear shape and I wear either a 30 or 31 depending on how loose I want them.

I can't get on with M&S or Next jeans, they stretch out of shape so quickly and as others have said the M&S high rise are boob height on me.

I can’t bear high rise! They make me look so much fatter round the middle. Too many jeans are high rise now, it drives me mad (& I’m tall with a long body, god only knows how short people find it) - bring back more low rise options.

Same here, I am short and slim and anything high rise makes my tummy look huge.

Levi’s 501, sound perfect for your shape. I have the 90s style which have a little more space around hips and thighs, and they’re nicely loose but form fitting on me (same size as you but more apple shaped than hourglass).

I would recommend going to a Levi’s shop and trying on all the different styles of slim or straight leg jeans to see what works. Higher rise, to the waist or above.

I’m 5’ 7” and long bodied, with more of a tummy than I like, so thank goodness for high rise! Surely there are plenty that aren’t?

My latest were high-rise straight leg, M&S. Personally I find barrel leg utterly hideous - I do wonder which designer came up with that idea, presumably reasoning that however hideous, people will buy anything that’s ’the fashion’ anyway.

loads of suggestions - thank you. i may just have to bite the bullet and go to a big shopping centre with levi’s, m&s and next and try a zillion pairs on

Superlow Skinny Jeans - Blue | Levi's® GB
I bought these- hear me out, they aren't skinny (I would say they are straight), and they aren't that low, they are a good compromise, more like a mid rise, they are the most flattering jeans I've bought, way more comfortable than skinnies but still give you a shape.
Don't get if you like high waisted. I bought the dark blue version. You can wear over boots or roll them up for trainers.
