What about the second link Wotz? A bit more flattering I think.

VictorianSqualor · 02/06/2008 13:55

Do you like your legs wotz? It might be a better idea to go for a fuller short dress and a wrap/cardigan type thingy.

SNoraWotzThat · 02/06/2008 13:55

I like that new look long dress
I might pop into town tomorrow
I'm meant to be working
Must go, I'll keep checking, thanks so much

Something like this
with something similar to this and these with some nice bracelets.bangles and a gold clutch bag.

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 03/06/2008 11:43

Which racecourse are you going to?

That is the most important factor.

SNoraWotzThat · 03/06/2008 12:48

Aintree and I've, not been before
I have been to Chester, last year that was nice.

Still not sure waht to do so anymore links, ideas are welcome.

I have looked it up and I am an 'apple' shape

i donlt mind going instead!

wide leg trousers, slightly fitted top, fab shoes and bag and a pashmina for later

also big sunglasses to ponce around in

go for classic rather than madly trendy

no crocs

SNoraWotzThat · 03/06/2008 13:31

thanks lulu - lol

TBH I think the wide leg trousers, wedge shoes, with a pashmina over a nice top like the one VS linked to.

I have to shop. I don't wan to look like a WAG at the end of the day !

I can't remember how to do madly trendy TBH!

SNora, you have just uttered the line I wish all other race-going females would chant to themselves before attending a day at the sports - 'I don't want to look like a WAG'.

God, am I ever sick of seeing tango-ed, nail/hair extensioned over primped girls tottering around at the races, even though it may be Wolverhampton on a damp saturday afternoon.

You will have a fab time at Aintree, even if it is laughing at the WAg wannabees (think pic of Alex Curran and idetikit mates at the National meeting). Lulu has given good fashion advice.

p.s Jump racing is more gentrified than flat racing, and to be understated is far more appropriate than being trussed up like a christmas turkey. Have a great day, and I hope you back a winner.
