My oldest friend getting married in November, I’m to be witness. It’s a smallish wedding in a museum and it’ll be quite informal. It’s all been arranged very quickly.
Im hoping this dress I bought of Vinted would do I love the colour and am on a low budget .I’m 5 ft 3 , size 12 , short legged, 50s. Suit more fitted styles .
How do accesssorise ?I can’t wear heels for very long ,small heels are okay or boots/trainers?
what type of jacket ? Ideally that isn’t too formal as it will be quite arty/alternative there generally . Jewellery etc ideas also welcome 🙏

I'm probably wretchedly old fashioned but I would go a shawl/pashmina in complementary colour, not black or white though. Can be picked up in charity shops or on vinted cheaply. Low heeled sling back shoes. Some gold jewellery.

Absolutely NOT trainers. I’m surprised you have made that suggestion for a wedding. I also do not think boots would go with this dress at all.

I would go with a small block heel or flat shoes. I would be inclined to colour drench the whole look and get matching shoes and jacket in the same colour as the dress but that’ll be tricky.

Gold accessories would pair best.

A short cropped jacket in red would be good. Nude or tan brown could work as to soften the bold red.

good luck

Thank you other for your suggestions. I struggle with shawls /pashimas . Gold jewellery sounds lovely , will start looking .
A short jacket does suit me and I like the idea of colour drenching -it’s just getting matching shades right.
