Autumn wedding barbecue outfit

Really stuck for an outfit so would love some ideas please. Totally random. Going to a wedding in Ireland in October. The day before the wedding they are doing a barbecue. There will be people I haven’t seen for years so feeling quite nervous and want to look good but no idea what’s suitable for this! I would normally think of summery outfits for a barbecue but I doubt Ireland in October will be the same vibes! I have recently lost weight going from size 16 to 12 and not really sure what suits me any more. Am mid 40s and not wanting to stand out too much but also not wanting to look frumpy. Any ideas very welcome 🙏

If it's ireland you'll need to go in wellies, waterproof trousers and a fisherman's cape.
I love these trousers, they'll be warm and make a statement. The whole suit is a bit too formal for a barbecue so I'd layer the top half, shirt or three quarter length sleeve T and a slouchy, or fitted jumper that you can take off or put on according to the weather.
Or corduroy is popular now skirt or trousers with autumn cours on top and a pair of boots.
