Comfortable lace up boots, not DM or Solovair

I have several pairs of DM and Solovair, some many years old. The join between the tongue and the boot is in the same place on both and I'm finding it painful. It's not tight or rubbing but I think my feet have become really sensitive and it quickly becomes unbearable.

I bought some new solovair just in case but same issue. I'm fine in my Chelsea and zip front boots but I like a laces look.

Do you have suggestions for similar style boots from other manufacturers to try?

I have Lanx, handmade in uk (even had a card in the box telling me who made them) and similar price to other brands, though mine were in a £50 promotion. Not sure they will be any different though

I bought some from M&S last year. I’ve never considered buying shoes from them before but they were so comfortable I bought a second pair for when the first eventually wear out! Similar to these:

My feet never got on with DM or Solovair. I like Ecco lace up boots but I do add 3/4 insoles as the inbuilt support isn't enough for me. I have bunions and hammer/claw toes and have bought those 3 times across the years:

I have some really comfy lace ups from Jones Bootmaker, took a punt new from a charity eBay store.
Just spotted that do a DM style they look lovely.

I also love my Dune brogue ankle boots. They’re on the narrow side but once broken in so comfy and versatile. I can wear them to stomp round the woods but they polish up well despite being 6 years old and re-heeled once or twice. They have a DM style in their current range.

Solovairs come up big so they rub, I found mine needed sheepskin insoles. Could you try doctoring yours with some sheepskin over the uncomfortable join?

Grenson Nanette’s? I noticed some are almost 1/2 price atm.

I bought a pair of Grenson Nanette's in a sale nearly 3 years ago. Still a huge amount for me to pay but they have been a fabulous investment. Worn almost every day from October to April and still as comfy and stylish

I was just about to recommend these! Bought the brown pair earlier this week and have been living in them. So comfortable.

Grenson Nanette are really lightweight and comfortable.

I have umpteen pairs of this style of boot. Last year I bought leather Seasalt ankle boots, this year Reiker patent and Fat Face brogues boots. Both the Reiker and Fat Face are lined, perfect for winter.

Also came on to recommend Lanx and see @notacooldad got there first!

DD had these last year for school and they are still going! Comfortable and we gave them some Dubbin to waterproof them.

Josef Seibel, they also have a zip so you can get the laces how you want then just use the zip to get on and off
