It’s too cold for bare ankles in the Autumn

I’ve been enjoying myself looking at Autumn fashion recently, but really struggle with the footwear element as so many outfits are styled with bare legs. Yep cropped trousers look fab with trainers/loafers, but it’s already too cold in my part of the UK to wear them without socks, which isn’t always as easy to pull off. So many looks just aren’t going to work for me as they’re styled with bare ankles I want to wear some slightly cropped trousers, but struggle to work out what to wear on my feet.

You're like the anti-me!😄 I live in socks most of the year (it has to be over 30C for my bare feet to come out).
Mid winter I'll be in thermal tights and 2 pairs of socks....and probably still have cold feet!

I think you just have to treat your socks like any other accessory. Try and pick up a colour in your outfit (I have lots of colours of chunky winter socks) or get some cute lacey ones. I quite like the look of a scrunched up wooly sock between my tights and my boots, it adds some interest to my feet!LOL
