What to wear with this skirt?

What would you wear with this skirt? Absolutely love it but have no clue how to actually wear it. Possibly also a bit long so could be cut to a better length but don't know what length!
Late 40s, definitely a size 18 and no clue how to actually dress in nice clothes that isn't jeans or a summer dress. Any help most welcome.

What about a silver/grey fitted jumper? Or a baby pink one? I think you definitely need a fitted one to show off your curves. You'll look fab!

Is that a beige underskirt attached to it? If so it’s a shame as it makes it a bit dull and also less easy to mix with other things. So I’d probably ask a seamstress to replace that with a black underskirt.

Then I can’t think of a single thing it wouldn’t go with. A black tulle skirt is a completely neutral foil for whatever you want to put with it. Suede jacket; loafers and socks, tartan flannel shirt; cowboy boots, tweed coat; brown hoodie; over-sized pinstripe jacket; cropped cable knit jumper; silk t shirt - honestly, anything.

Very pretty skirt. I think the top the model is wearing is perfect, go for something with sleeves if that’s better for you. A fitted top would be too much of a ballerina vibe imo.

There’s lots of cute short sleeve jumpers in the shops at the mo. I think that’d work well.

Very pretty skirt, I think Id dress it down though with something like biker boots and either graphic tee and biker jacket or an oversized jumper.
(TBH though I wouldnt of worn it at a size 18.....because I was an idiot who didnt appreciate that you only live once and everybody deserves to look gorgeous!😎).
