Very waterproof and cosy coat for toddler?

Hi all, ds (coming 3 but size of a 4yo so we're probably looking age 4-5 size wise) and I go walking a lot in all weathers. I'm looking for a heavy duty waterproof coat that's also lined and cosy but ideally something that's brightly coloured. All the boys ones I've seen that fit the bill are darker colours but ds likes things to be bright and from a safety perspective when we're out walking I'd prefer he's in something bright as well!

Any recommendations?

A ski jacket? DS has a Helly Hansen one with bright orange patches on it so there’s absolutely no missing him!

Look at Jack Wolfskin. I think they do lovely bright colours and they are really good quality.

I rate JojoMamanBebe’s outerwear - most of my children’s has been bought second hand and barely used on Vinted. We travel a lot around places like the Scottish highlands and it’s always kept them dry.

Toastie brand onesie

Another vote for JoJo Maman Bebe - their fleece lined waterproof all-in on is lovely. Muddy puddles do good quality kids waterproofs too.

Wet Wednesdays. They have some lovely bright designs for boys and have reflective sections on the cuffs as well. We have one for DD1 and its lasted really well.

Columbia do great waterproof/snow suits!

Personally I wouldn’t get a onesie. You’ll still need a regular winter coat so it’s yet more money that you don’t necessarily need to spend. They’re also a nightmare for potty training- if they might need a bush wee when you’re out walking then the whole thing has to come off. I would get a really good coat and then pair with some waterproof trousers for wet days. JoJo has fleece lined ones for about £25 that are pretty good or if you’re happy with a shell then mountain warehouse does them for £10.

Thanks all, we're not super long potty trained so definitely looking for a coat as opposed to a onesie for easier access when out and about!

I swore by the muddy puddles ski jackets. Totally waterproof and warm.
