How much do you spend on knickers?

Titasaducksarse · 07/09/2025 15:31

Pretty much the title.
I need some new knickers. Boringly I tend to favour a nude for day to day as go under anything.

Anyway..im normally a M and S or Next multipack around £12.

Saw an advert for Stare and Stripe ..£50 for 4...blimey!

I know individual knickers from fancy companies cost a lot too.

So I'm intrigued....what's your knickers spend and from where?

Same as you , multi packs from M&S, and usually wait for 20% sparks deal too 😂.
in my youth when used to wear matching always bought fantasie bras and knicks, they averaged around £15-20 but again bought when on a price offer

CatsForLife · 08/09/2025 08:17

I buy the Amazon basics ones in black which are a bit like the cotton seamless M and S ones used to be. Last few times I’ve bought M and S they’ve fallen apart quickly.

I love my wirapa(?) knickers recommended here on mn. Snug and comfortable. Think they cost a bit more than supermarket multi pack but sooo worth it.

Snap. £5 a pair but fit perfectly and wash well

Astrabees · 08/09/2025 08:31

M&S for every day. If I buy a nice bra I always buy 2 or 3 pairs of matching knickers but the prices are eye watering.

Pancakeflipper · 08/09/2025 08:33

£11.95 for 1. Boody. They last me years and are comfy so worth the initial cost.

If I'm doing 'nice' matching bra and pants then they tend to be more.

Supermarket or Primark multi packs. Usually only a few quid.

This. I prefer to spend money on the clothes that actually get seen! And to be honest, basic cotton knickers are by far the most comfortable.

Rookie93 · 08/09/2025 08:45

Wipera from Amazon all the way. Tried them after seeing them on MN and have never gone back to M&S. Fit well, wash well and are comfy, which is not something I ever thought I'd want in a pair of knickers. Off to explore Stripe and Stare if only for the name.

Mrsmunchofmunchington · 08/09/2025 08:58

TU knickers. Just as good as M&S but much cheaper.

Letshavetea1 · 08/09/2025 09:19

Chantelle - the most comfortable nude knickers ever! Not cheap, but JL do a pack of three for £50.

Can you link? I can’t find these anywhere?

Farkinhell · 08/09/2025 09:27

Sainsbury's 'big pants' Multipack here. They have a wide lace trim on the front. Never have loose threads or baggy elastic and come up nice and high on the tummy which is my preference but also have good bun cheek coverage to support any saggyness. I think they're around £10 for 5 pairs.

Editing to add: the last pack of m&s knickers I got 2 of them had to be chucked after 2 months as the lace came away at the top on one and the leg elastic came away with the others so I'm sworn off m&s now - they quality has declined too much.

She means Wirarpa I think ? They're often mentioned on here.

Wendywooooo · 08/09/2025 10:26

I tend to pick them up in the sales in Next, M&S, Fatface and a few other places, Rarely spend more than a 5er on a pair, Unless I want a set

Greenfingered1 · 08/09/2025 10:32

M&S about £15 a pair. I buy the Rosie range.

Belladog1 · 08/09/2025 10:36

I bought some great knickers from Next many years ago in a multi pack. They were excellent, fit wonderfully and washed well. But whenever I got back, I can't see which are the right ones. I have tried a few different ones now, and my belly rolls over the top after sitting down, or they are mahoosive and keep my nipples warm. I just can't find 'the ones'.

I need to get some more though as the ones I am wearing are frankly obscene, and, to quote my mother, I hope I am never in an accident!!!

TheOtherBear · 08/09/2025 15:16

Innersy ones from Amazon. Really rate them, actually. Feel soft and seamless-like, but are also a bit thick so hold their shape.

stayathomer · 08/09/2025 15:17

Supermarket, packs of granny pants! As cheap as possible!!

luckylavender · 08/09/2025 15:20

Multi packs from M&S, usually the pretty coloured ones.

LittleMi55Nobody · 08/09/2025 15:24

zero...havent worn underwear for 24 years

Mutability · 08/09/2025 15:24

Barely anything. I buy M&S low rise Brazilian shorts. Maybe 4 multi packs a year.

I leave ‘nice’ undie sets (bra and kickers) for my husband to buy.

TheChosenTwo · 08/09/2025 15:26

My day to day ones are the bog standard pack of 5 from M&S for about £6/8 I think. They’ve buggered about with them a bit and I struggled to find my preferred ones recently, bought some terrible ones by mistake and have already donated them to the clothes bank!
Fancier ones I’ve spent up to about £40 a pair but it does feel like a waste when only dh benefits from seeing them!
I’ve tried a few now from stripe and stare and would definitely not recommend or buy anymore from there. I didn’t find them comfortable and they wriggled around all day. Pretty colours though. Too many influencers were touting them all at once, I should have been suspicious!

cheesycheesy · 08/09/2025 15:31

Tesco high waist briefs for a few quid. A generous size and they smooth any lumps. Hate anything settling under my c section scar

Comefromaway · 08/09/2025 15:39

I used to do supermarket multipacks but since I turned 50 I now buy individual M&S shaper knickers at £12 for a pack of 2.

Greebosmum · 08/09/2025 15:56

Big Bloomers company multipacks. Not particularly cheap but they last for years, are generously sized and super comfy.
