Any suggestions for footwear with a maxi dress?

I’ve got a work thing coming up and wanted to wear a nice maxi dress I have that hasn’t had an airing this summer, but it’s gone cold. Other than strappy sandals, any suggestions of footwear to go with a maxi dress 🤔

im considering my converse if all else fails 🤣

I would wear converse or boots. I have a black maxi dress with a chiffon skirt and wear it with boots. People say it looks great.

Chelsea boots?

Ballet pumps?

I wore a stretchy vest style one with converse and my cool younger friend was wearing the same only platform converse.

Cowboy ish boots?

I always go for Converse! Although a pair of plain white or black plimsoles usually looks nice (if you are a casual shoe person that is).

Thank you everyone - I’ve got some DM Chelsea boots so I might go for those, or my trusty cons - I definitely need to be comfortable as will be on my feet all night (and can no longer bear the thought of putting myself through the uncomfortableness of heels!) x
