Has anyone heard of or shopped at Ashford & Clarke? An ad came up on Facebook and I’m interested in buying something but not heard of them before.

Picked at random, this cardigan is available from them

Or from Aliexpress and many other similar sites

Google lens had no difficulty locating the cardigan but couldn't locate the "store front" on the website. (Quelle surprise)

There’s a fake photo of a storefront (supposedly in Oxford) and the style and wording of the site is very similar to the many scam companies that have been popping up all over instagram lately.

Going by experience of similar looking companies ‘steeped in British tradition 🤔) If you eventually receive anything the stuff comes from China, so it takes ages and it will be very poor quality, 100% polyester and nothing like the pictures.

They’ll accept returns but it will be back to China and at your own expense. If you decide its worth returning the parcel will be ‘lost’ so no item and no refund. I’d avoid it like the plague.

Sites like this give Shein a bad name !

If you're going to buy Chinese tat you might as well buy it from the original who are at least honest about who and where they are.
