Annoying-PIN needed for Uniqlo deliveries with DPD. Any way round this?

I have placed two orders with Uniqlo in the past month and each time I have been texted and emailed a 4 digit PIN code to give to the DPD driver on delivery. The first delivery I wasn’t at home so they redelivered when I was in and I got my parcel fine. The second time I again wasn’t in as I was at work. This time they returned my parcel to Uniqlo for a refund. I’m now reluctant to reorder in case I’m not at home again as each time I order I’m paying a delivery fee. My garden is private and I get loads of online shopping delivered to my designated safe place but I can’t do this with Uniqlo as I need to give the driver the 4 digit number.
Has anyone got round this? I’m waiting on Uniqlo live chat so thought I’d ask here too while I’m waiting.

It's bloody annoying. I have the same issue too.
The delivery guy nearly got savaged by my spaniel, who transforms into a Rottweiler when anyone walks down the driveway.

So anything isn’t it? I’m loathe to reorder as I’ll need to pay a delivery fee then just hope I’m not working or out when they deliver.

This is probably in response to issues of deliveries not getting to their rightful homes, which I think is getting worse in some areas. DPD is quicker to deliver than Evri, I'd be looking at what day I order re. potential delivery day or deliveries to someone who can take in for you. I've experienced this in tye last week and luckily was in, but will now time orders to potential delivery day.

I absolutely hate that bloody pin, is there an option to pick up from a parcel shop?

Just paid 4.95 to return an item to them. Ouch!

It’s a right pain in the arse! Is so hard when you work full time and have a social life. The last time I wrote a note for the courier with the PIN on it but he took the parcel away again so they obviously can’t leave it even in a designated safe space. I’m not going to order from Uniqlo online any more.

I agree it's annoying.

I've had DH ringing me asking for the PIN cos I was out.

The second time I was in but couldn't find my phone to get the PIN, poor delivery guy was stood there for 3 mins whilst I looked for it!
