Thoughts on these? Stylish or old lady?

I want to get something waterproof and comfortable to wear out and about in winter. I have wide feet so a lot of usual boots don't fit me. I saw these but am second guessing myself. I wear mostly jeans, wool joggers or smart trousers in winter with the occasional dress.

Oh they are dreadful, nothing to do with age

Maddy70 · 01/09/2025 11:25

I love these

RimTimTagiDim · 01/09/2025 11:26

Those wouldn't look stylish on someone of any age. Hideous.

Omg, can we please stop the ageism! “Old lady”.! Really? When is the agism going to abate. It’s 2025, surely this agist tripe can die.

(You think old ladies wear these trainers?! Surely not?!)

This. Do you honestly believe style and 'old' age to be mutually exclusive?

BoarBrush · 01/09/2025 11:29

They remind me of toddlers first shoes.

BlondeCircus · 01/09/2025 11:34

I’m an oldie at 68 and sorry think they are awful

WildCherryBlossom · 01/09/2025 11:37

Those say Water Resistant not Waterproof. From experience this is a big difference!!!

Gardendiary · 01/09/2025 11:56

I think they are probably not old lady or stylish, but not terribly nice. However if, like me, you have foot problems then sometimes style has to come second unfortunately and if these would do the job I would go for it!

Absolutely. And anyway, I'm a stylish old lady. I wouldn't wear them.

LeopardPrintLipstick · 01/09/2025 12:09

The opposite of old they look like ‘first walkers’ for babies but then barefoot shoes generally do.

TheFlis · 01/09/2025 12:13

I agree they look like kids shoes. I live in Chelsea boots in winter, super comfy once worn in, waterproof, and go with most outfits.

OrangeAxolotyl · 01/09/2025 12:13

I'm an "old lady" - let me tell you that I am not devoid of style 🙄
I wouldn't wear them. I agree with pp, they look like toddler shoes.
Perhaps when you are old, people will be dismissive of your style choices, OP, on the basis of your age.

Comefromaway · 01/09/2025 12:15

I think they look awful

toomanysausages · 01/09/2025 12:17

They look like comfy barefoot shoes. My sister would probably wear them and she is late 20s - she’s v into fitness and health so those are the vibes I get from them. I will be squishing my very wide feet into prettier shoes though
