I’ve been looking at getting one mainly for use on my face. There are so many and a huge range of prices. Does anyone know if it is worth paying for the pricier ones or do the cheap ones work just as well?

I have a phillips lumea and its amazing. I dont get any hair regrowth at all on my legs. You have to commit the time to using it though and make sure you have the right skin tone/hair. It wont work on the light hairs. Can't comment on the cheaper ones.

I had the Phillips Lumea twelve years ago and the hair has never come back. I would say it is definitely worth it.

Philip Lumea is magic. I had a basic one for about 8 years but it’s just about to break I think.
It will be worth it for me to get another one. I’d love to know how precise the facial one is as I would really love to do between brows but I’m not sure it’s do-able.

There seems to be a consensus on the Phillips lumea! Thank you, I will check it out.

I have light skin and dark hair so I think it would work for me.

Hi I got the Phillips for facial hair as I have pcos/hirsutism and I’m going to be honest it hasn’t worked for me. It made it slightly worse. I am going to try to get my hormones under control and then try again. If you have the same issues as me I think electrolysis is the best option. I wish I went with that instead of buying an expensive IPL. Also on their website it does state it may not work for hormonal facial hair.

Boots often have them on good offers- don’t pay full price!

You’re funny, or maybe I spelled that wrong

Such a coincidence that I’ve just ordered the Philips one! I had the Boots finishing touch one but it’s recently stopped working after about a year.
