How to wear this dress?

Hi all I have this dress and haven’t worn it yet , hoping it can work as an autumn transition item , have some lovely trainers that work with it but not sure about what sort of sleeved layer to add for warmth , anyone got any ideas for me ? I am hoping to get some inspiration that already lurks within my wardrobe!

I would wear flat lace up ankle boots or flat knee boots or something like this
