Filler after vascular occlusion

i have a deep wrinkle between my eyes that started as a scar from a burst cyst 20 years ago.

i had it filled over the years plus Botox.

the last time i had filler it resulted in a vascular occlusion which was scary. The therapist was calm and injected the antidote all over my face with no lasting damage.

I later went to a therapist with an ultrasound machine hoping she would use that to guide the filler so it wouldn’t happen again. However she said she thought this was too risky. I had dermabrasion instead but it didn’t really help.

It’s such a deep wrinkle and Botox doesn’t really make much difference.

Anyone have any advice as to have filler safely in the circumstances?

Try asking your GP for a referral to a dermatologist for advice, or self refer if you can pay.

Tbh in your case I’d go for cosmetic surgery
perm results and much safer

CinnamonCinnabar · 28/08/2025 20:01

Please don't go to your GP for a cosmetic issue.

See a cosmetic surgeon - fat transfer is a good option

What @1AnotherOne mentioned about fat transfer but also a good eye brow lift will cover that

there are some minimal invasive ones that can sort this (there are a couple of really reputable surgeons in London that would sort this )

@1AnotherOne @BrentfordForever
thank you so much - any recommendations gratefully received. Does fat transfer avoid the risk of injecting into a blood vessel?

If you are on Instagram, consultant clinic are great and the owner responds to all the messages and would help you (they have clinics all over the world and are pricey as all are doctors, but would give you advice for free!)

Here’s the offending scar/wrinkle @1AnotherOne @1AnotherOne

This dr is making shocking transformations in that area https://perfecteyesltd.com

also Google dr Ezra

they re both renowned for eye brow lifts

if they do fat transfer likely you won’t have issue as they’re surgeons so they use different techniques to monitor
