I'm in the Midlands. ds2 went to his prom dressed like this last year. Complete with winklepickers.

double breasted is very old fashioned, as are wide leged trousers!

I would've thought a 16 yo would have v decided views of his own about what suit he wants.

When you say for 6th form, do you mean every day? Does he have to wear a suit?

how much does she want to spend? shops like burton, topman and river island sell trousers and jackets seperately, so she will be able to get him a couple of pairs of trousers to every jacket.

Apparently he couldn't care less but his mum doesn't want him to have the mickey taken! Yes... he has to wear a suit for the 6th form unless he continues to wear his school blazer - but even though he has no sense of style he would draw the line at that.

He has his 'prom' on 20th June so will also need a suit for that... what do you suggest oh trendy ones?

His mother is now saying that I'm making her sound like a div by bsaying that she thought he'd want double breasted!

are there connotations to converse? if he is so unworldly as to not care then better not to get into brands.
