How do I improve it? What skin treatments would you recommend?

I already use Medik8 Retinol, Moisturiser, liquid peptides and spf

@PeonyPatch I'm not very loyal to cleansers.... I tend to swap around a lot but currently am using the Rituals gentle foaming cleanser....their velvety smooth one is good too.

Hmmm, I’ve heard good things about Simple (the brand) cleaner. I might use that for a bit. Cost-effective too. I tend to use Bioderma micellar water too. I think for my skin I need a good cleanser.

Good to know, thanks!!☺️

You can buy it on Independant Pharmacy, online. It’s about £27 and is a medical cream. Usually used for acne!

Have you tried products to repair your skin barrier? The retinol may be too strong/used too frequently, mine looked similar after overuse of tretinoin. The Byoman Skin Barrite Relair range worked well. I still use retinol but much less frequently.

No, I haven’t but I’m now learning that I probably should. Really appreciate the recommendation, I’ll have a look. It seems I’ve overdone it with the retinol. I actually thought using it frequently was going to help my skin, but I’ve now come to the realisation that I’ve over-used it and my skin is dehydrated.

My skin looked very similar, I thought the solution was tret/ more retinol and expensive ranges. I couldn’t believe the difference of using the barrier repair products made after about 4-6 weeks and now I just use much simpler products. And just noticed my typo- it is Byoma range that I used for the barrier repair.

Well, call me influenced! I’m checking out Vinted for it now…
