... are the bane of my life.

What've you all tried and what have you found most effective in smoothing/minimising them?

I see to be exploding in new ones each week!

I love using Burts Bee, Mama Bee oil and it seems to help with the appearance of them.

No19 · 30/05/2008 16:29

BioOil is what I use. Also time. My old ones are nine years old and really you can hardly see them any more. Nine years is a LONG time to wait to get your skin looking not even halfway normal. But BioOil helped with prevention, second time round.

mrspink27 · 30/05/2008 16:29

bio oil is fantastic.

No19 · 30/05/2008 16:30

I saw the Mama Bee stuff yesterday, belly jelly or something it is called? Belly butter maybe? It smelt yum.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 30/05/2008 16:31

There is a belly butter (which I haven't used), or the oil. The oil is great, it smells of lemons and sinks into the skin really well.

Wuxiapian · 30/05/2008 23:25

So, No19, you waited 9 years then startd using the Bio Oil?

If I were to purchase some, how long would it be before I saw results - if any?

I've been using Palmers Cocoa Butter, but it's not made any effect at all.

I used baby lotion when I was pregnant and I've got none

Wuxiapian · 30/05/2008 23:27

but it's not had any effect, I meant.

Been on the Amarula tonight. Tut.

Grr, Purple. You're so lucky.

Sadly, I must be one of those people who inhereit it. My mum has loads, but even I surpass her - I'm covered in them: arms, boobs, tum, hips, bum, thighs, legs. Don't think I missed any parts out there.

LOL Wuxiapian sounds daft I know! I only started thinking about BioOil when I got pregnant for the second time nine years later. It was time that healed the first lot. BioOil has helped with prevention so far (few weeks to go still!)

Wuxiapian · 31/05/2008 15:30

I shall be forced to try the Bio Oil, then... once I've made my way through those 3 tubs of Palmers sitting on the shelf.

So, how often do used the Bio Oil, is it to be used everyday?

I must say I use it every night, that's because I am dreading my horrible shrivelled stomach.

redwino · 31/05/2008 20:43

I used Palmers Cocoa Butter too, and have none. I like to mention this whenever possible.
