Body lotion for those bumps on the backs of legs

I’ve been using exfoliating gloves on the backs of my thighs/buttocks but I’ve still got some bumps there. Do any of the body lotions designed for this actually work? Thanks

Ameliorate lotion. Game changer!

I use This Works Perfect Body Smoothing Wash and it sorted my back bumps. If they are similar could work?

Dove pro age body moisturiser. Has 20% AHA. It’s in a red bottle and always on offer in Superdrug

Blondebrownorred · 20/08/2025 09:47

What are the bumps? Do you mean spots?

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 20/08/2025 09:48

KP it sounds like, @Blondebrownorred

I find no need for the special products. What works for me is sweet almond oil and also any very rich cream such as foot cream.

AnotherVice · 20/08/2025 16:25

I used Ritchey’s farmers soap which is a bar with bits of pumice in. It’s fairly aggressive but worked!

I've been using boots own cream for kp, it seems to be working, but I've also started using The Ordinary glycolic acid toner.

CarterBeatsTheDevil · 20/08/2025 17:27

Products containing glycolic acid are supposed to be good for it!

Came to recommend this - I use it on ingrown hairs from shaving

Products with chemical exfoliants (AHAs, lactic acid, salicylic acid, urea etc) are much much more effective for KP than physical exfoliation (pumice stones, gloves, manually scrubbing etc). Will be kinder on your skin too!

Eucerin 10% Urea lotion. Works on KP bumps and cracked heels for me!

Not cheap so I use it every other day to help it last and it still does the trick
