Gel polish, beetles and modleones, any good?

Hi,
I got to the salon to have my nails done and I'm fed uo of having chips after few days and then after a week it's come off significantly.

I have everything I need to do my own gels ( always used to do my own) but I could do with some new gel polish.

Ive looked on amazing and there are some nice sets by modelones and beetles.

Can anybody recommend a good gel polish brand?

I have a set by modelones and they stay on really well. I also have some by Kinnd that are really good and last well. I’ve just bought another set of modelones and they last me longer than any others.

Not related to brand and not sure if others are the same, but I used to use sensationail and noticed the shimmer and glitter colours were much better lasting than the normal colours.

Are these free of the nasty stuff that keeps giving everyone a reaction and destroying their nails?

I used sensational until it disappeared. Now using Mylee but have heard of some bad reactions. Now I'm using regular polish again and hate its lack of staying power.

If you pick it off then it’ll destroy your nails. I have a habit of doing that after about 10 days 😬 but I use acetone to soak it off when I have time.

Unfortunately there is an ingredient in a lot of gels that is causing an allergic reaction in people. Causes the nail to lift from the bed even with correct application and removal. 😥

I lost a nail about 18 months ago, I assumed I’d not put the gel on properly but it was a different brand of gel so maybe it was that!

Avoid Beetles. It causes reactions in lots of people and is known for its poor quality.
