What else do I need to create an autumn/winter capsule wardrobe?

I have lost a lot of weight and want to build a capsule wardrobe for autumn and winter.

I have purchased the following items:

2 x short sleeved knitted jumpers - dark brown & cream
1 x black cardigan
2 x long sleeved tops (1 burgundy, 1 brown)
1 x dark brown trousers
1 x mauve midi skirt
1 x blue jumper

I have Chelsea boots, flats for work, trainers for the weekend, jeans etc. for out of work. I have one other jumper (it's bright pink 😂).

Looking for 2 coats - one for bright, crisp days and 1 for rainy days. I have a nice coat that is probably 3 sizes too big for me, but I will try to get one more season out of it before it has to go.

I have bags etc.

I am on a H&M/New Look budget rather than anything too expensive - looking to spend maybe £150 max on the coats and anything else I need - I am sure I have long sleeved tops etc. in the back of the wardrobe, which can be dug out if needed

Thermal tops for under knits as well as thermal leggings. It depends on your height and size but I got a few thermals from the kids section as they were cheaper. If you can ditch the coat that is too big and scour EBay, charity shops and Vinted for a new one.

Oh, my thermals are upstairs! I'm starting a job at the hospital in the next few weeks, so obviously it depends on whether it's cold or not there, as to whether I need them or not!

The coat was quite expensive, so I want to eek out as much use as possible, but if it looks silly, it'll be a Vinted moment for sure!

My advice is always look on Pinterest for outfits you like, and find the common items. Also lots of capsule wardrobe examples on there- things you wouldn't have thought of!

I just bought this coat in the Fat Face sale and it seems really good quality for the price. It had decent pockets and a hood that didn't seem to fall down or completely cover my eyes (which has been my issue with raincoats in the past.)

I would always have a short cord skirt to wear with tights and boots in winter.

By the way, how do you get your photos together in one picture to show the selection of clothes like you have done? I have always wondered how people will do that!

That's just a screenshot from my H&M app! I just cut out the prices and sizes to send to a friend haha.

but I use the layout app on iOS when I want to create a little collage
