Maxi satin slip skirts - any recommendations, please?

Looking for the ubiquitous satin slip skirt, properly maxi length and decent weight/quality. Would prefer navy, burgundy or a dark grey. Is anyone able to give me a pointer in the right direction please?

(As an aside, why are so many websites so rubbish at measurements? I can get past the European sizing, although iam old and do find it a bit confusing 😆, but FFS, give me at least an idea of what length they are …)

I got some from Uniqlo earlier this year. Not sure if they still have them.

Had a look and Uniqlo still do them in a long and shorter length. I am 162cm / 5'4. I tried both and went for the longer.

I got navy and dark grey New Look ones from Vinted. Usually plenty on there (I'm 5'5 and they are ankle length on me).

I've got a couple of the Uniqlo ones and I really like them. They've still got them in stock.
I've also seen nice ones in Zara.

I will definitely be looking at Vinted when I work out whose skirts are actually long enough (am 5’9”, so a bit taller than most on here! Thanks for recommendations so far.

I got this one recently from whistles which is navy and very lovely - but in their petite section. Don’t think I can pull off the over sized sweater with it so still pondering the top half

Just looked and they have non petite as well in different colours. Last year I got a chocolate brown one that for some reason just made me look this a walking pair of hips - feel like the skirt needed a bit more “weight” as I couldn’t pull of mermaid style. You may not have my body shape though of course - just in case useful info for anyone!

I have this one from The Fold, which hangs beautifully. I also have it in navy. My only fear is that it might not be long enough for you.

I'm 5"8 and the Uniqlo ones work well for me. I'd say they're midi, not maxi. It comes to about mid calf on me.

I have a few from Next. I’m tall (5’11”) and the tall sizes are plenty long enough for me.

Oh, I'd kind of missed that tall sizes would be available in skirts too, despite using it for trousers. Good call!

The Uniqlo one comes with a short underskirt to wear with it .
DD has the champagne colour but says the underskirt but is annoying so wears skin tone modesty shorts so a smooth line

Next and F&F, I’m tall as well (5”9) and they fit me.

I feel your pain. Have you looked online at Dorothy Perkinf tall range? I’m 5’9” and it’s a god send to me.

im 5’9 and have Next tall (length is really good but the quality is poor -after washing it looks like ot will never iron out), Sainsbury’s (length and quality good and no ironing required). Simply Be (length and quality the best by far).

Any links to how to style these, I love the look with a jumper but run so hot that I need my under jumper look to look presentable

A cropped boxy t-shirt or a loose vest/t-shirt tucked in.

I'll be the same - know how to do it for autumn/winter, not sure what I'll do with it if warmer. Quite an autumn/winter colour I've bought though, so perhaps that won't matter.

Just buy maxi black one from Zara and it come in another colour can’t remember the other colour but it fits lovely x
