Love it

LittleCosette · 05/08/2025 18:42

Gorgeous! Where’s it from?

DeclutteringJane · 05/08/2025 18:45

Perfect!

Assume it’s a wedding reception in a castle and there’s no actual church service? Or would you cover it up for the ceremony/church?

I don’t actually like it. Even on the model it looks unflattering and badly cut. The tailoring of the bust and waist is dreadful.

Dressdilemma2 · 05/08/2025 19:02

Phew... This is about the 10th dress I've tried and the only one that suits my shape - I'm an inverted triangle and can do most short dresses, but the majority of midi/maxi ones either drown me or just hang and look awful.

@LittleCosette It's Monsoon 🙂

Thanks @HundredMilesAnHour It's all in the castle, but have got an ivory shrug that goes well with it. It needs an iron, but otherwise fits me like a glove :)

Would you go with gold/bronze shoes or try and match the colour?

And what sort of necklace?

Check what the bridesmaids are wearing before you opt for a solid colour!

MinnieMountain · 05/08/2025 19:05

We had our wedding ceremony in a castle. The guests just wore normal wedding outfits.

Dressdilemma2 · 05/08/2025 19:14

@MiddleAgedDread They're in blue.

What's not normal about that dress? It's a nice dress- doesn't scream "wedding dress". You could get a lot of wear out of it.

@MinnieMountain @IHaveAlwaysLivedintheCastle

Thanks. I was a little concerned that it was a bit too much like a ball-gown, but there are several reviews stating they bought it to wear to a wedding. The wedding party (of which my DP is one) are also in tuxes so not a particularly casual wedding.
