Idiot's guide to fake tan for fake tan virgin

I have bitten the bullet and bought some of that moisturiser fake tan stuff - garnier as it was half price.

It is the lightest version as my skin, especially my legs, are almost reflective.

I have the fake tan, exfoliating gel stuff, good body moisturiser, a razor, shaving gel.

Top tips
Or better still, step by step instructions to avoid looking tangoed or orange at the joints
Thanks muchly

You know what i've been using sun shimmer from boots the matt medium tan it's a wash off one and it's fab and no streak worries. I bought it because I didn't want to risk a fake tan mistake for a wedding last weekend and it's truly great.

Just mind your knees!! I apply thick face cream to my dry bits but you shouldn't have a problem with the moisturiser stuff.

Oh, and ditch the razor in favor of an epilator!! Fab.

use a nail brush to wash your hands with afterwards or you will have poo-brown hands

ideaaly buy this

tbh, fake tan doesnt need to much prep. im dead lazy and i dont exfoliate most times, and youd not notice

i use ambre solaire spray - its a tenner

I find that moisturising the elbows and knees (and any other dry patches) with an ordinary moisturiser first helps avoid the tangoed joints look.

watch your hairline and behind your ears

dont apply deodorant first

Don't shave immediately beforehand leave it a few hours at least or it'll sting and go all dotty in the hair follicles - at least it does with me ..anyone else find this?

nailpolish · 28/05/2008 19:21
