Miss Mary of Sweden sizing (for bras)

Does anyone have any experience of ordering online from them and was the size they suggested ok?

I just measured myself as per the instructionson their website. My underbust measurement is 34 inches but the calculation tool suggested a 38B. It does say that their sizing might be different to other brands, but an extra 4 inches in the band seems like a lot?? I'm usually a DD/E cup.

I can contact them to ask anyway. Just wondering about people's experiences.

I just ordered what they suggested 38d (I’m usually 34f) and returned and exchanged for a back size smaller 36e and it does fit, but it is on the smallest hook, so would really need 34, but they don’t have an f cup. I do like them, but isn’t as good as something fitted at bravissimo for me.

Thanks @Buggysleeper that's really helpful info. Was the cup size ok even though smaller than your usual size? Maybe I'll try Bravissimo instead - was drawn to all the non-wired but a bit structured options on Miss Mary but it's such a faff if I have to return.

I measured myself, followed Miss Mary’s size guide etc and still got the wrong size. After 3 returns i got fed up and went to Bravissimo in person!

Sounds like they use the old method of adding inches to the back size which gives a bra too big in the back and too small in the cup.

You'd usually use your under bust measurement as the back size and then use the difference between the over and under bust measurement to work out the cup size. Each inch means one bigger cup size e.g. 1 inch =A, 2 inches =B, then C, D, DD, E, F, FF, etc

So frustrating @IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads and disappointing. Thanks for letting me know. I'm glad I'm finding out that their sizing is as weird as it seems before actually ordering something.

@dementedpixie Yes it seems so strange. I was always led to believe that the band/back are crucial for the level of support you get, so having 4 inches of excess seems completely counterintuitive.
