Linen barrel leg trousers (not Uniqlo)

Can anyone recommend any in a similar cut to the Uniqlo ones? I'm not keen on the slightly shinyish linen (and would prefer an elasticated waist rather than a fastening, but that's not a deal breaker).

Not too fussed about the colour but I'm looking for soft linen, or maybe muslin/doublecloth.

Beyond Nine have loads. Plumo are also good for barrel styles, from various labels.

I bought these from Primark just for while I’m losing weight but they are actually really nice.

I have the Uniqlo ones is black and off white. Neither are shiny. The orange had a slight sheen but not like they appear online. Have you seen them in person?

The back is elasticated.

No, @Opine, I haven't seen them in real life, - are they a normal linen blend texture? I find creases are a bit more discussed in a matt linen.

I like the look of the Beyond Nines ones @ParvuliThankYouDebbie but I can't justify the price (even on Vinted!)

I have the Next ones in white. They are really flattering.

They’re a cotton linen blend. Slightly heavier and smoother than linen so don’t crease as much and aren’t see through. I really like them. Compatible to a very very expensive designer pair I have.
You should try them.

I love the look of the Uniqlo ones! Can I ask how the waist sizing is IRL? I often find their stuff is larger than it says it is. But not always!

@OuterSpaceCadet I’m an 8 and wear a small in the regular length. If you’re shorter than 5.8/9 I’d go with the shorter length if you want them to skim your ankle. Without that bit of cropping the barrel wouldn’t work if you see what I mean.

This. These trousers are great, and I have them in a few colours now. They are all elasticated and none are shiny. I don't have the orange ones though.

ETA they hang incredibly well. Feel much more expensive than they actually are. By far my best buy this summer.

I'm a 5ft7 size 14 - would a Large be about right? It's ages since I bought anything other than tops from Uniqlo but I seem to remember L was right (although I don't think the sizing's always consistent).

Which Next ones do people have? They seem to have a couple of options. I do like a fully elasticated waist 😳 I'm conscious I sound 105 but I'm not bothered tbh.

I've just picked up the Uniqlo ones in Large and I'm a big 14. They're great! (Although I might leave the clip above the zip undone if I'm feeling bloated or wearing a very fitted top. But the next size up would be too big all over).

Reporting back on the linen barrel leg trousers - they're lovely, but too long for me (5ft7ish). I saw that they do a short version online but it was OoS so I thought I'd take a chance on the standard and they're about 3cm longer than I'd like them to be.

Style-wise they're not quite what I'm looking for although I do like the shape. They're a bit heavier (maybe a bit more formal?) than I was after. I do quit Ellie he pleats in the front but they're not what I'm looking for. I think if I worked in an office they'd be useful (if shorter), but I can't see they'd get much wear so they'll probably go back in afraid.

I got the Uniqlo ones on the back of this thread. I thought they might be too tight around the waist. But they were ok but felt like they came up to just under my bust. 🥴I'm 5ft 4''

Thats a shame. They’re so cheap now too. I agree that they’re very long. The shorter length is likely sold out because the regular is so long.
