Similar to Pom Pom bags?

I know everyone has similar these days but I love(d) my pom pom mini cross body bag from a practical pov. Just big enough for phone, keys and essentials

however I found the quality shoddy. Pom pom fell off, whole thing looks tatty. I am also irritated that they call the brand “pom pom London” when it’s evidently mass produced in China.

I know there is a lot out there so tell me what’s similar but better quality?

I've got a few bags from Ollie & Nic. Fast delivery interchangeable straps. Good choice of colours. I'm happy with the look and feel. Thanks for this very helpful. Looked them up and they are very similar but a third of the cost of pom pom! I’d be keen to know if anyone knows how the quality compares. But if similar to pom pom they seem rather better value.

I’ve had the Ollie & Nic version since May last year and use it most days, it’s still going strong! I really like it and bought it after eyeing the Pompom ones and deciding to find a cheaper alternative.

I would email them and complain I've had mine for a couple of years and they're fine. They're not particularly cheap so shouldn't be tatty.

Gosh l know I'm old but l thought you meant bags made out of pom poms like we had in the 70s.. with crochet.. be very vintage now.. l thought l had heard of loads of makes of bags.. but not heard of Pompom .. and l love a good cross body bag.🤣

I’ve got an Ollie and Nic one and I love it. It was a Christmas present and showing no signs of wearing yet.

I've got a couple from Ollie & Nic. The camera bag style and one that's like a half moon shape. I use that one all the time and it's still looking as good as when I got it, which was about 2 years ago.

So Ive just bought an Ollie and Nic and a Pom Pom London bag.

Im sending the Ollie and Nic one back because the colour described as Duck Egg is actually grey.

The purple is Pom Pom London city bag
The "metallic rose gold" (more like a shiny peach) is called The Pom Pom London Original
The duck egg (aka grey) is Ollie and Nic Gigi
Also pictured is a bright pink Apatchy.

The Apatchy is well used and was bought second hand and is still in really good shape. I'd buy one again. It's quite stiff which I dont mind.

The Ollie and Nic is OK. If I liked the colour Id probably keep it. I dont know if it's leather. It doesnt feel like it is. It is fine but you can feel the difference in quality between Pom Pom and that.

The Pom Pom London's are both very soft leather. The rose gold one is smaller than I expected and purple one is larger. 😆 The rose gold comes with a little pom pom (that looks like it will fall apart tbh but Id take it off anyway). The purple one comes with a tassle.

The all have interchangeable straps as well as a thin strap in the same colour as the bag. Apparently the wide straps arent very fashionable but I don't care because I like them. 😂

I've got a blue pom pom and a black ollie and nic.
I prefer the O&N even though the material doesn't look as nice. Its larger and was quite a bit cheaper.
The pom pom bag leather hasnt held up well, sadly.

Those with Pom Pom London, do you think I should send them back then? I think Ill probably send the rose gold one back because it's so small.is the purple one going to look tatty quite quickly?

To be fair I have used mine a lot so no wonder it’s tatty
but I was most disappointed that the pom pom itself fell off rather quickly

They’re about 35 quid each so they can’t possibly be real leather

Here are the grains.
The purple is pom pom. The grey is O&N.
The grey doesnt feel like leather.
The purple smells and feels like leather.
Although it's fine if Im proved wrong
Both bags are brand new.
