OK I never buy clothes in there. But two pairs of very wearable ballet pumps for 30 quid. One silver, one black sequins.

You can't complain can you? Even when they fall apart in a month

I bought a summer dress from there for 25 quid. It's one of the most flattering garments I own.

Have some wedges from there that are ultra comfortable too.

...so long as you're not too bothered about who's making them...

southeastastra · 28/05/2008 13:33

they're opening a big one near us soon, i imagine that everyone will just end up looking the same though, doesn't it work like that?

NL is fab, I bought : TADAA -this today, v good for slobbing out with flip flops, poss I am a bit too lardy and muttony for it to be a school run dress, but it's surely a contender for skinnier birds. It's a gorgeous colour in the flesh.

I also wanted this bag to share with dd but they only had one rather manky shopsoiled one left.

Friend got an amazing spotty skirt, looks really good quality, Monsoon or similar, for £15! Bargain.

InigoMontoya · 28/05/2008 17:21

Mine was in the rather more subtle cornflower, not the eyewatering petrol blue of the link.

paddingtonbear1 · 28/05/2008 17:28

I am quite impressed with New Look of late. Bought some jeans, trousers and a vest from there - all really nice for the price.
I did think of looking in Matalan as my friend has just bought some nice sparkly pumps from there!

Gobbledigook · 28/05/2008 17:31

I don't think I'd buy the shoes - surely cheap shoes just cut your feet to ribbons?

However, I did purchase a gorgeous top from New Look (called 'Nouveau Regarde' by my SIL ) t'other day for £16. Tis organic cotton dontcha know.

Not on website, have looked.

don't you have to be a teenager to get through the door?

was very tempted by this dress but couldn't be bothered to try it on and also halterneck

SheikYerbouti · 28/05/2008 17:37

We had a NL built ner us last year.

It's changed my life

There was no NL in Bath (un;less you count the postage stam pize, everything-rammed-in-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life) one in Keynsham)

Now I can jump in my automobile and seek the bargains.

saltire · 28/05/2008 17:39

I quite like some of their tops as they are long in the body - me being 6ft tall! They used to do great jeans in a 34" inside leg, but seem to have stopped doing them

paddingtonbear1 · 28/05/2008 17:39

hana I hope not, I am 40!

SheikYerbouti · 28/05/2008 17:40

No, thier shoes are VG imho.

I wore a pair of mega high patent shoes from NL to the MN xmas party and I was able to stumble drunkenly merrily walk le tout Londres looking for a cab (as Marsy and Yeahinaimute will testify)

Gobbledigook · 28/05/2008 17:42

Hmmm, so my justification for buying £60 Carvela wedges to dh - 'cheap shoes are false economy because they hurt your feet and you can't wear them' is not strictly true?

SheikYerbouti · 28/05/2008 17:44

Well, he doth not need to know thwe truth

I bought a pair of 20 quid wedges from there a few weeks ago these, in black

I am going to buy some in other colurs too, they are mega comfortable (again, tested by stumbling walking lots while a bit tipsy)

Gobbledigook · 28/05/2008 17:46

They are nice - I have a Dune pair very similar (they were NOT £20 )

DRESSMEUP · 28/05/2008 17:46

there are some nice clothes in there, i just think if something is really nice, then everyone will think the same and so i will be walking round town the same as everyone else.... (16 yr olds)

MarsLady · 28/05/2008 17:50

It's true! She did. She was dancing in the street!!!!!!!!!

Ledodgy · 28/05/2008 18:05

i've got these in tan Fab everday sandals.
