Going to a tailor in Vietnam

Is this still a good thing to do?

DH is losing a lot of weight on Mountjaro. And I fancy some nice new silk tops and other items.

I found a few threads from years ago, pre covid, but what do you think its like these days? Any tips?

I had some tops made in Hue, Vietnam and the neck was too wide on all of them. On the Other hand, I had some tops and trousers made in India just pre-Covid and they were lovely. I also had a silk suit - skirt and trousers - made in made in Bangkok 20 years ago and I still wear it on special occasions. It depends in part if they are going to be able to do a fitting. In India we went to the shop in the late afternoon and everything was delivered the following morning because we were moving on (we were on a tour). In Bangkok the tailor was in the hotel and we were there a few nights so I had a fitting.

Ty. I definitely want a fitting.
I also have a sill blouse that I want copied in a few different colours, so hopefully they can use this as a pattern

DH and I both had a few things made in Hanoi - all were perfect, couldn't fault it. We went on a Weds lunchtime, back for a fitting Thursday afternoon, picked the finished bits up (with quite a few alterations) on the Friday morning.

dh and ds have had suits made in Hoi An - I think they had at least two fittings each. Quality was excellent and they kept all the measurements on file so it was easy to have more items made when we went back the following year.
