Nose job been waiting 40 odd years

Hi - I’m in my 60s and newly single but would like to meet someone. I am not attractive and have never had attention from men. I don’t want to get into that but do want to improve things in a fairly subtle way to give me more confidence. Now or never!

I know a nose job would just be a part of it - I’m v sensible and grounded - but my nose has been one sided and with an ugly bump since it was broken nearly 50 years ago. God I sound old! I’ve always wanted it doing. Maybe with a few other subtle improvements too.

So to get to the point - can anyone recommend a very good plastic surgeon who specialises in rhinoplasty in my neck of the woods? Sussex Surrey Kent area. I was thinking East Grinstead McIndoe Centre but how do I know who to see as there are a few rhinoplasty surgeons? I did go for a consultation a while back and was dismayed to be told by the surgeon they couldn’t predict what my nose would look like until they ‘went in’ due to it having been broken. There were no examples or anything - just a lucky dip. I know they can’t be 100% sure but this was too risky for me.

Any tips and recommendations v much appreciated. Thank you!

Definitely McIndoe centre, don't even hesitate they are the best. I worked there for years as a senior nurse and they fixed my mastopexy that another private clinic messed up big time.
They absolutely can't tell you what it would look like before they explore the nose and anyone who says they can is a snake oil salesman.
They are always honest and will do the best job they can with what they have.
They are the country's leading specialists.
If someone unrealistically pro.ises you a perfect nose before they have examined it they can't be trusted.

Thank you @Gettingbysomehow that’s v helpful. I was just surprised the surgeon wouldn’t give me any idea. I suppose I was thinking there might be some ai imaging or something to show me what I might expect! This was at the McIndoe but before lockdown. I don’t want anything radical.

Does anyone know how much it costs?

There really isn't any way of assessing those delicate structures without getting in there even with scans. They are very careful not to give false expectations to patients so hence the cautious approach.
But they will do the best that they can to give you the nose you want.
I went to what was BUPA to get my breast lift done before I worked at McIndoe and they made a horrific mess of it. I nearly lost my nipples to gangrene.
How the surgeons at Queen Vic managed to repair them is anyone's guess but they are the best and they did it.
You'll know that if anything goes wrong you'll be in the best place.

Have a look at the Consultant Clinic on Instagram to see the work they do with noses with filler. Their facial rebalancing is amazing.
I was almost fortunate enough to accidentally break my nose at 26 so a reconstruction was necessary, 56 now and it still pleases me daily.

The work done by that Consultant Clinic is amazing, but I wish they said the full price someone paid for the work.
