Is Victoria Bekham eyeliner all that?

Been on the lookout for a new eyeliner, and the VB one has been reommended so many times. Quite expensive so wondering if it is that good? Any experience with it?

I have the cocoa. Gorgeous colour, but doesn't stay put. It goes on beautifully, but because it's so soft, you have to constantly sharpen it.

TheChosenTwo · 24/07/2025 16:04

Lots of people love them but I hated them unfortunately. Way too soft, the smudger broke in the lid of one of mine (the first one I bought) so that was redundant. The liner is really greasy and just not what I was looking for. The colours I had were beautiful but they were just a nightmare to apply. And sharpening them was a joke!
Probably need to put it in the fridge for an hour before even attempting it.

AreYouShittingMe · 24/07/2025 19:03

I was unimpressed. It started well, went on smoothly and a lovely colour (cocoa) but the colour didn’t last, and when I needed to sharpen it, the end kept breaking off. I ended up throwing it away!

BlackCatGreyWhiskers · 24/07/2025 19:05

Following as I love the look so hope you get recommended a good alternative.

WhitstablePearl · 24/07/2025 19:07

I am on my third cocoa. Love it. And the vast lash mascara

AnnaQuayInTheUk · 24/07/2025 19:10

I didn't get on with it at all. I tried Cocoa, which was a lovely colour, but a nightmare to apply. I also bought one of their sharpeners but it didn't work. I emailed Customer service to explain, and they said the blade needed tightening and I should do it myself. I didn't have a screwdriver small enough so gave up.

I now use Wonderskin eyeliner and find it much better.

Didntask · 24/07/2025 19:10

I love them!

SaintGermain · 24/07/2025 19:21

Different shades last better than others. Olive and ash are lovely but I’ve had the Bordeaux one twice and each time it was rubbish.

I love the Zoeva ones more for ‘colours’ but Dior makes the best black eyeliner.

ThreeTescoBags · 24/07/2025 19:23

I've given up on mine too, it manages to both drag and be too soft and smudgy. Not a fan

Spirallingdownwards · 24/07/2025 19:28

I love mine and have a variety of colours

BreadInCaptivity · 24/07/2025 19:44

IME a hard (or rather soft) no.

It’s so soft I had to put it in the fridge before sharpening it. Also so soft it’s hard to control.

Was very disappointed and binned it.

Game0fCrones · 24/07/2025 19:57

I have the olive, ash & navy.

Theyre beautiful but darker than they appear on the adverts.

go on beautifully too. Need topping up a bit though.

tsmainsqueeze · 24/07/2025 20:06

I wear eyeliner daily and the best ones i have tried are Avon glimmersticks , they are pretty much smudge proof , after trying so many different ones over many years i am reluctant to try any other makes now.

treesandsun · 24/07/2025 20:12

I look at the colours and the softness and blendability. I'd always worn black but it was starting to look a bit harsh as was a hard line. I'd tried brown in the past but they were too light But the cocoa one is lovely as is the olive

psuedocream3 · 24/07/2025 20:46

Love it, the cocoa specifically, blends fantastically and is by far my favourite, I haven't had the issue of needing to reapply, but I use primer, conceler foundation, and setting spray so I find it stays put and blends beautifully. Only downside is because the product is very soft and easy to blend, I find it gets used up much quicker than other eyeliners meaning that the higher cost, is even higher realistically.

LoraPiano · 25/07/2025 14:51

Thanks all. I am still in two minds. Any other eyeliners you recommend? I have been using hourglass, but it is expensive for the amount and keeps breaking.

Everybody said it’s the best eyeliner ever. I bought one and it’s a smudgy prince of shit.

deeahgwitch · 25/07/2025 15:34

I have a Victoria Beckham eyeliner and a Hildun eyeliner- both written about as the “bees knees”of eye liners.
I also have Boots No 7 eyeliners.
All three brands are made in Germany.
All three brands are equally soft.
All three are at different price points.
Check out Boots No7 and Hildun @LoraPiano

tsmainsqueeze · 25/07/2025 19:37

Another Avon one i swear by is Power stay 16 hour shadow stick in mocha brew a lovely dark chocolate brown , lets you create a finer line or you can smudge it into your lid ,it also looks really good with a slight cats eye flick at the end, it never budges on me.

thenightsky · 25/07/2025 20:24

I bought the VB ash one when it was on a weekend offer. I really like it, but I use it on the waterline, rather than as a flicky liner. It stays put really well. I even slept in it once and it was still sitting nicely on the waterline next morning.

I love my Charlotte Tilbury ones. I have on in a soft almost coppery brown and it’s tiny now and I need to replace. I also have a lovely navy colour. Sorry can’t remember the colour name.

It’s (for me) a perfect consistency. Soft enough to slide on without dragging (and smoke out if you wish) but hard enough to create a defined line.

You get about a minute of play time then it sets and stays put.

I also like her colour chameleon sticks (basically a chunky eyeliner come eyeshadow). I have 4 different colours and they are especially good if you are a bit cack handed with eyeliner (like me - I can do it but it takes time and the sticks are much better/easier if I’m in a hurry).

Maryberrysaga · 25/07/2025 22:15

I hated it. Went on well but spread down my face to the point I looked like Alice Cooper 🤣🤣 The Trinny one is much better for me.

smallsilvercloud · 25/07/2025 23:37

I’ve got one, it’s ok but I wouldn’t repurchase, expensive but to be fair it’s a longer than average pencil, I’ve found Sephora own brand pencil eye liner a similar soft smudgy texture.

AlabamaOfEurope · 26/07/2025 02:32

I've got lots and I love them. Not had any of the issues mentioned here. Beautiful colours and they stay put fine for me. Although I do agree they need sharpening often.

I've worn eyeliner pretty much every day since I was about 16, so have used lots of different ones, and these are among my favourites. I also like Bobbi Brown, but they've got rid of the best shade, which was a shimmery bronze, think it's only black and brown now.

I use Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, it stays on even when I fall in the water from a paddleboard or sweat in the gym. I use black or chocolate shimmer depending on what I'm doing.
