My trusty bargain foundation has been discontinued 😭

Where to go from here?! Foundation lasts me a while - I normally do just a few dabs to cover darkness around my eyes and redness on my nose, cheeks and chin. Prone to dryness so most cheap foundations don't do it - they seem to go on thinly and then turn scaly, or look orange if done just in a few areas.

For absolute years I've used a Boots Natural Collection foundation which must have cost around £3 but is perfect: https://incidecoder.com/products/natural-collection-hydrating-radiance-foundation. However, it seems to have been replaced with a "skin tint" which is total rubbish.

I'm not averse to spending more (I know £3 isn't happening again!) but the higher end brands will be a waste because of how slowly I get through it. Any recommendations? Thank you!

Maybe look at Boots own 17 or no 7. Rimmel might also have a good replacement. You could ask in store for advice too.

Everyone raves about the Rimmel one, I think it's the one with the blue lid, but I've also heard good things about the long wear one with the red lid.

BusterGonad · 22/07/2025 11:29

Match perfection and lasting finish.

TheCurious0range · 22/07/2025 11:30

Try Maybelline dream radiant liquid it's about £10 , I have combination skin and this doesn't dry my skin or make it greasy, it's decent coverage but not cakey , it contains hyaluronic acid and seems similar to the one you used

ETA I am also very light touch with make up

WhiteNoiseBlur · 22/07/2025 11:31

The Rimmel with the orange lid is amazing

Rocknrollstar · 22/07/2025 11:48

Look at No 7 tinted moisturiser

Timemyluckchanged · 22/07/2025 11:49

The Rimmel Match one is good. If you buy it in Boots they have a promotion where if you spend £20 on the budget makeup brands there’s a free gift makeup bag with 4 full size products in it which makes it very good value

£3!!!! WOWWW

SecondSeatontheleft · 22/07/2025 14:16

If you are only wearing it here and there could you get away with a concealer? Maybe from Natural Collection in the colour that your foundation was?

TrelawnyBastian · 22/07/2025 14:18

Kiko do some nice foundations and aren’t to badly priced, I tend to use it for my day to day foundation and it does the job!

hexsnidgett · 22/07/2025 14:18

I used to use natural collection, but now use nyx glazed. Which is very nice and not too expensive.
