White Beach Cover-Ups Mystery

MarthaLou · 21/07/2025 10:39

I’m intrigued by these effortlessly elegant women who wear oversized white shirts or white beach dresses on holiday.

It doesn’t matter which SPF I use, I always get sun cream stains on white clothing!

Is there some magical product I’m not aware of? Or non-staining fabric these clothes are made from?

FYI, I have used La Roche Posay, Garnier, Avene, Boots, Ultrasun.

Thanks!

I assume they buy new for every holiday. I've started buying cover-ups in darker colours, or even off-white, as white is just impossible to keep looking nice.

What cream are you using? I use the dry oil sprays no issues with them.

I’ve not tried dry oil sprays. Will investigate!

Seconded.

I googled this before going to Greece last month and the advice was an oil spray, so tried the Ambre Solair (sp? sorry) dry oil sun screen and it worked.

Its harder work to spread about i found, and i had to reapply more often than my usual Nivea one.

Just buy a tub of whitening powder & soak items for 24 hours. Then wash in bio powder & dry in sunlight. I have white lace edged kaftans that I've worn for years.
