I've tried a few new things recently and have been quite impressed with some of them.

Tresemme Colour Thrive shampoo and conditioner - just used a sample out of a magazine this morning and my hair feels lovely and I would say it's also brought out the blonde and brightened it up. Will deffo buy.

St Ives Apricot Scrub (gentle) - leaves your face feeling lovely and smooth. Switched over to this now from Lancome's face wash (dh pleased - £17 to £3.99 )

And for those of you with the dreaded acne/redness/spots:

Neutrogena Visibly Clear Rapid Clear Treatment - a spot 'gel' - is totally brilliant. I've really just got 2 red patches that sometimes go bumpy' - I put this on at night and by the morning my skin is smooth. Have been using it a week or two now and I'd say the redness is reducing too. Think it's about £4.

Clinique Redness Solutions Daily Protective Base - this is that green cream stuff - I've been putting it on the red areas as a base under make up and it's brilliant. Once foundation is on there is no redness showing at all. It's about £12.50 a tube I think but you only need the tiniest amount. I've been using it every day for about 2 months now and the tube is still almost full.

I use my teenager's clearasil for spot outbreaks. Swear by it and will keep some in even when he's through the pimple stage!

Barbara Daly concealer from Tesco the best I've used for years (for blemishes, rather than under eyes, still searching for one of those that works on me)

Liz Earle cleanse & polish plus her eyebright lotion and eye serum.

Avon (yes really) ANEW day and night creams

Oh I used to use the Avon Anew face mask etc about 10 years ago! Yes, I remember it being very good.

i hate the cleanse and polish, but my mum swears by it. i thnk it is just because it doesnt foam up, i feel like it doesnt clean my skin.
i have got used to using a muslin cloth every day though, i used to use a flannel, but the cloth feels much better and takes off the dry skin.

and i think i might invest in that clinique redness cream. i have very red cheeks, all the time. i hardly ever wear foundation, but when i do i look odd with smooth even face and red cheeks.
usually everyday, i look ropey so my cheeks dont stand out that much

I absolutely loved the smell of Cleanse And Polish but it made me break out in lumpy under the skin spots, unfortunately.

My recent best find is the John Frieda Weather Works serum - brilliant.

Also revlon eyeliners which are like retractable pencils - they glide on really easily. My favourite is the grey.

the vit e body scrub from superdrug is brill, dirt cheap but leaves your skin really soft and smooth.

also avon clinical anew laser pen really fades red spots/broken capillaries.
