Looking for reasonable, lightweight, long sleeve summer dresses

I'm travelling to somewhere very, very hot over summer. It is also a country where you need to be well covered (for religious reasons but also I am very fair). I need some nice, cool dresses that I can wear with sandals. Any suggestions welcome. Thanks 😊

it may be easier to find summer dresses you like and add a pair of sun sleeves, cover up, thin long sleeved top under.

Check out the Uniqlo Airism line. The dresses and other clothes are big and airy and made of cooling fabric - add sun sleeves if you need to or an airism long sleeve top. Anything baggy that stands away from the body. The more sack like the better! And if you wear skirts or dresses then make sure you wear anti chafing shorts underneath.

Also remember that very very hot countries are often fiercely air conditioned and you spend much of your daytime hours indoors, in a car, at a mall etc. so you actually need light layers anyway or you will freeze.

Maybe have a look at a few things buying there. This has worked well for me in India. Take some obviously, and be prepared to do/get done some laundry

I have a few cotton light weight shirts/blouses I use to cover up my arms, mainly from the sun.

Hi! You sound similar to me, and I spend a lot of time in the Middle East where I have to balance the heat and covering up, which I actually find to be a lot cooler than sun on bare skin.

A linen long tunic dress is your friend!

I bought a one hundred stars pinch pleat dress and it is lovely and cool and cotton. Just wore it on a hot holiday and it was perfect.
